Love Reimagined with a Skydiamond Creation
When a cherished blue sapphire fell from Stephanie’s beloved ring, her husband Hamilton saw not just a chance to repair what was lost — but an opportunity to create something entirely new. He turned to Skydiamond, drawn to the brand’s ethical approach and modern craftsmanship, to design a bespoke piece that would honour their story.
Guided by Victoria, Skydiamond’s Head of Design and Development, Hamilton embarked on a creative journey to bring the new ring to life.

The ring was a sentiment of their love and the years of commitment shared together. It was important that this ring featured a blue Skydiamond, echoing the essence of Stephanie’s sapphire ring. It also adds a personal touch, nodding to Skydiamond’s origins in the very elements of the sky.

Intentionally designed, this bespoke 18ct yellow gold ring features a 1.01ct blue emerald-cut Skydiamond, set in a demi bezel for a floating effect. The low-profile design ensures it sits close to the skin, so it can be worn everyday with ultimate comfort.
At Skydiamond, we love the ring’s double split shank, which creates a refined architectural feel, adding visual interest.
Additionally, the hand-brushed finish on the exterior of the gold introduces a beautifully textural element. It contrasts elegantly with the smooth, high-polish interior and the refined demi-bezel setting. This juxtaposition of finishes adds depth and complexity to the piece, elevating what might first appear to be a sleek, modern design into something far more nuanced and personal.

As for the original sapphire ring that led Hamilton on this journey —Skydiamond brought it back to life. The white gold setting was rebuilt, and where a stone had once been lost, a round brilliant Skydiamond now sits in its place.
