Clean Craftsmanship

Inspired by British nature. Crafted with Conscience.

Luxury jewellery shouldn’t be a mystery. Discover how Skydiamond redefines luxury through full traceability, responsible sourcing and innovation, creating a new standard in ethical fine jewellery.

Grown in Britain

Every Skydiamond begins in Britain – crafted by nature, designed with purpose and powered by possibility.

From our Sky Lab in the Cotswolds, we grow the world’s most sustainable diamonds using only four elements from nature: wind, rain, sun and atmospheric carbon. It's modern alchemy, rooted in British innovation.

Our diamonds leave Britain just once to be cut and polished by expert hands in Surat, India* renowned for precision and ethical craftsmanship.

When they return home, every polished Skydiamond is set by British jewellers, transforming carbon from the sky into extraordinary pieces of jewellery. Made with integrity, designed to last forever.

*We recognise that travelling to India does incur emissions, however due to the micro volume and weight of the stones, the
footprint is minimal, and we are working to further off-set those emissions through our parent company The Green Britain Group, one of the world’s leading green energy suppliers. In an ideal world, the end-to-end process would be UK centric, so we are working on upskilling utmost quality cutters and polishers closer to home. And we feel strongly about not letting long-term perfection be the enemy of near-term good.

Designed in Britain

Recycled and Repurposed Precious Metals

We take pride in knowing exactly where every element of our jewellery begins because transparency isn’t optional, it’s an integral part of who we are as a brand.

At Skydiamond, we use only recycled and repurposed precious metals – a deliberate choice that reflects our mission to create beauty without compromise.

Repurposed metals are already part of our jewellery’s story; gold, silver or platinum that’s been worn, loved and now reimagined into something new.

Recycled metals are rescued from places you might not expect – silver from X-rays or electronics, gold from pottery waste – materials destined for landfill, given a second life.

Together, they form the foundation of our transparent jewellery production, restoring resources, reducing waste and proving there is another way.

  • Gold

Our gold is 100% recycled or repurposed. Whether it once adorned a wedding ring or was recovered from electronic waste, it’s refined and reborn, ready to shine without costing the earth.

  • Silver

We use 100% recycled and repurposed silver. From medical X-rays to vintage jewellery, every gram is reclaimed, refined and reimagined, preserving resources and protecting the planet.

  • Platinum

All our platinum is recycled or repurposed, ensuring even the rarest metals avoid unnecessary mining. Precious, enduring, consciously sourced.

“We see clean craftsmanship as the future of fine jewellery; a way to create with intention, transparency and respect for every element involved. Every day, we prove there’s a different way to make beauty, and we invite our customers to join us in shaping artisanal jewellery through responsible, ethical practices.”

Trust in Traceability

Jewellery is magical but where it comes from shouldn’t be a fairytale.

At Skydiamond, every decision starts with transparency. That means knowing (and showing) exactly where your jewellery has been made, every step of the way.

We only use our own lab-grown Skydiamonds born in our Cotswolds Sky Lab – certified, carbon-negative and traceable from creation to craft.

No mining, no fossil fuels and no unnecessary waste.

This is responsible jewellery made with integrity. Every piece is proof that luxury can honour the earth – and your values – without compromise.

Luxury isn’t just what you wear. It’s what you stand for.

The Journey of Skydiamond Jewellery

From the Sky to You

  • Step 1

We extract CO₂ captured using Direct Air Capture technology, which we liquify and purify – an important step in ensuring the quality of our diamonds. With the CO₂ removed, the air released back into the atmosphere is cleaner than we found it.

  • Step 2

We take rainwater collected from our factory roof and split it into oxygen and hydrogen using electrolysis.

  • Step 3

CO₂ from the air and hydrogen from the rain are combined with biological single-cell life forms (the equivalent of a diamond sourdough starter) in a completely patented and bespoke process to create methane, which we feed into our diamond mills with a dash of nitrogen.

  • Step 4

Inside our mills we grow our Skydiamonds on tiny diamond seeds (which we also make) in a ball of plasma running at about 1,000 degrees Celsius – roughly the temperature of the outer layer of the sun – using the renewable energy provided by the solar and wind power of our sister company, Ecotricity.

  • Step 5

Several weeks later, our Skydiamonds have emerged. They are sent in batches to world class cutters and polishers in India; a woman's collective training and paying the female artisans the same as their male counterparts, and giving them flexible working hours to work accommodate family commitments.

  • Step 6

Official Diamond Certification using the expected 4C's is conducted at Anchorcert, UK - we don't accept any stones under H VVS2. These hand selected stones are then set made into our fine jewellery pieces in recycled precious metals.

Respecting Human Rights

We believe true luxury should never come at the cost of human dignity. That’s why we act with integrity at every stage of our supply chain, ensuring respect for human rights isn’t just a promise, it’s embedded in how we work.

What is clean craftsmanship in jewellery? It’s ethical craftsmanship that ensures every stage of production honours human rights, avoids exploitation and prioritises responsibility. Our approach combines artisanal jewellery techniques with a modern, sustainable and clean production process.

Our supply chain is purposefully small and carefully chosen, reducing the risk of unethical practices, including modern slavery and human trafficking.

We have robust systems in place to monitor, assess and protect the people behind every Skydiamond. Every business partner undergoes rigorous checks before joining our network, because responsibility starts with who you choose to work with.

We remain transparent, proactive and committed to raising standards – from labour rights to workers’ wellbeing – proving that luxury can be ethical by design.

Why choose clean craftsmanship jewellery?

The benefits of clean craftsmanship in fine jewellery go beyond the final piece, encompassing everything and everyone that touched it. It means creating beauty without compromise – using ethical, transparent and sustainable processes that respect nature and workers. By choosing repurposed metals and carbon-negative diamonds, we reduce waste, avoid exploitation and prove that luxury can give back to the world, not take from it.

Our Diamond Polishing Partner

Cutting and polishing a diamond is an art form; one that takes years of precision, dedication, and skill.

Based in India, our diamond polishing partner is recognised not only for their exceptional craftsmanship, but for leading with ethics.

Their mission is to reshape an industry where women have long been underrepresented.

They champion gender equality through equal opportunities, pay and access to technical education. Their factory fosters inclusion, building a gender-balanced team that reflects dedication, not outdated expectations.

Their approach mirrors our own; showing how ethical practices and extraordinary craftsmanship can coexist, redefining what responsible luxury looks like.

Redefining our future with the Green Britain Group Family

Skydiamond is proud to be part of the Green Britain Group – a collective driven by innovation, integrity and the belief that there is another way to live.

Founded by environmental pioneer Dale Vince, the group is reshaping industries that impact the planet most: energy, transport and food – while setting new standards for UK brands with clean craftsmanship values. From Ecotricity’s 100% green energy to Green Gasmills tackling agricultural emissions, we’re proving that progress and sustainability go hand in hand.

Our diamonds are made in Britain, grown in the Cotswolds using renewable energy from Ecotricity, the UK’s greenest electricity and gas provider.

Together, we’ve built an ecosystem designed to restore the planet, champion innovation and redefine the future – for people and for nature.
