How do you explain what you do to your kids / grandchildren / parents?
I've worked with jewellery and gemstones all my career so have always told people I try on jewellery and play with sparkly things for a living.
What does a diamond signify to you?
Radiance, light and desirability.
What is your role at Skydiamond, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I focus on the jewellery production, liaising with our workshops to ensure all our pieces in production are progressing. I'm also responsible for keeping the jewellery and stone vaults in order, picking stones for new jobs, keeping in contact with our customers for new stone purchases as well as jewellery enquiries.
What do you love about working at Skydiamond?
We're a small but committed team all with the same focus of creating beautiful jewellery with the sustainable focus that our customers desire. I enjoy discovering new Skydiamonds in our vaults that I haven't seen before and showing them to the team, often leading to us offering them as new made-to-order jewellery.
Where do you see the future of lab-grown diamonds heading, and how is Skydiamond positioned to lead the way?
We're seeing an increase in customers whose priority is sustainability and traceability of their stone purchase so we are confident that we will continue to grow.
